I first met Rob as a chance encounter during the Southern Redfish Tour in Jacksonville, Fl. We drew each other in a raffle, and we were able to fish the following day and win the Tournament together. He had the fishing sense, knowledge, and love for the sport that can not be taught or faked...he was a natural.
I have met and spoke with Chapman on several occasions after our Tournament win, and he continually wins me over with his personality and dedication to his work, and to our sport. All of this in addition to the fact that I now proudly hang several of his marine art pieces in my living room, and wear his tee designs proudly on my back!
His artwork is simply jaw-dropping. They are beautifully drawn and detailed, but also very unique and distinctive. It is obvious that his love for the outdoors is the perfect match for his love of creating artwork! There is no doubt in my mind that Rob, and his artwork will be a main-stay on the fishing, and marine art scene for decades to come...His grand vision, and work ethic, matched with his genuine sincerity and outgoing personality are a sure-fire recipe for a long, succesful career.
Given this range of skills, and an unbelievable creative mind to complement it all, I am proud to give Rob my highest reccomendation. It is only a matter of time until the name "Rob Chapman IV" is synonymous with marine art, and that same name is found near the top of Tournament standings! "I was looking for something special to get my wife for Christmas. We just had our first child in November and I wanted to do something that she would remember and something that included our daughter. I saw portraits that Rob did and knew right away this would be the perfect gift. I contacted Rob the first week of December and asked him if he could do a portrait of my wife and child. Without hesitation he told me he could and that he would have it completed and framed before Christmas came. Sure enough Rob completed the portrait in 2 weeks which was amazing to me. When I gave this to my wife on Christmas day it brought tears to her eyes. She could not believe how detailed the portrait came out and that somebody drew it. We have it proudly displayed on our wall for everyone to see."
