"The Heart of Darkness" is a unique piece featuring a swordfish feeding on a small school of squid under the moonlight.
This artwork is truly one of a kind, because it was created on black illustration board, and drawn entirely with white prismacolor pencils.
After the first layer was created, the colored prismacolor pencils were drawn on top of the white layer.
This allowed Rob to capture the true look and feel of a swordfish feeding at night, because under a full moon on the open ocean the only light and color comes from the beams of the moonlight.
